Body AND SOUL!

So I posted something on Facebook today that probably made some people pause.  Yes, I post a lot about Xyngular/health and wellness, but there is another component to what makes me feel so good.  That has been taking care of my soul, too.  My faith in Jesus Christ, attending church and praying have helped me identify other areas I need to work on in order to get physically healthy.

What you should know is that I attend a church where it feels like every Sunday really is teaching from the bible.  As a teacher, it's like I attend the best professional development ever, every Sunday at Northwoods Community Church in Peoria.  You can access all of the sermons from their website, www.nwoods.org

Here's an awesome picture and story that helps me explain how I feel this is all related for some people and why my website is www.igniteyourbodyandsoul.com !

Here is the story copied from Facebook:
"This is Shrek the sheep. He became famous several years ago when he was found after hiding out in caves for six years. Of course, during this time his fleece grew without anyone there to shorn (shave) it. When he was finally found and shave...d, his fleece weighed an amazing sixty pounds. Most sheep have a fleece weighing just under ten pounds, with the exception usually reaching fifteen pounds, maximum. For six years, Shrek carried six times the regular weight of his fleece. Simply because he was away from his shepherd.
This reminds me of John 10 when Jesus compares Himself to a shepherd, and His followers are His sheep. Maybe it’s a stretch, but I think Shrek is much like a person who knows Jesus Christ but has wandered. If we avoid Christ’s constant refining of our character, we’re going to accumulate extra weight in this world—a weight we don’t have to bear.
When Shrek was found, a professional sheep shearer took care of Shrek’s fleece in twenty-eight minutes. Shrek’s sixty pound fleece was finally removed. All it took was coming home to his shepherd.
I believe Christ can lift the burdens we carry, if only we stop hiding. He can shave off our ‘fleece’—that is, our self-imposed burdens brought about by wandering from our Good Shepherd.
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30"

When I look at physical weight gain I feel that sometimes it is caused by the emotional/soul weight we can carry.  That "weight" turns us to other ways to deal with that pain when we don't take them to God.  So you withdraw from others, stay inside, eat, get angry and lash out, get depressed, stop working out, stop caring for yourself, drink, smoke, etc.....all things that lead to weight gain and health issues.  I'm not a doctor, but I am an emotional eater from the "clean plate/grandparents lived through the depression/children are starving in Ethiopia/love is food" generation.

I've learned various things through the years, but it wasn't until I started taking Xyngular products that I was able to focus on why I was doing what I was doing.  The products remove the cravings and give me a mood boost.  So if I'm eating after 7 it has nothing to do with hunger!  When you can elevate your mood, it helps you see life more clearly.  I have the desire to work on things at home and in life.

In turn, I need to share with you the ways in which I think will help you turn your health and wellness around.  I feel it would be selfish if I didn't and wouldn't honor God.  Last year I read the book "90 Minutes in Heaven."  He makes a very poignant point in his book.  Basically he said that when we see someone dying we call 911, but why don't we treat people who have lost their faith the same way?  Why don't we want to save them?  It's the same way I feel about your health and your soul.  I see you walking like you're in pain, I see the anger you carry, I see the 60 pounds of fleece you have been carrying.  Let me be that person that helps you shed your fleece!

So if you're ready, when you go to bed tonight ask God to help you out.  Listen for his answer, his nudging, then let me know how I can help.

This is It!

So my last big post was about my weight loss journey and I kind of left you hanging.  Sorry - with the end of the school year and all I put this on the backburner.  After starting on yet another weight loss journey 6 months ago, I have found some products that make me realize this is really a health and wellness journey.  It's why I changed the title of this blog.

When I started my 8 day Ignite, I really thought I would lose weight and if I had other health benefits, great!  After almost 5 months on the products I am feeling better than I have in a long time!  Sadly, I didn't realize how bad I was feeling; a bloated stomach, creaky joints, fatigue, etc.  Within a few days, I wasn't falling asleep on the couch anymore (this school year was rough and by Friday night I was ready for bed at 7 or 8!).  The Xyng gave me energy that wasn't buzzy or hyper.  Though it was more than that, I actually cared about cleaning and getting things done!

The 8 days was easy to do, but did require me to pay more attention to eating.  I needed to be more organized.  Since the first 8 day Ignite I've learned that it helps to set an alarm on your phone to remind you to take certain pills, drink a shake or eat a snack.  What attracted me to this plan was the fact that you do get to eat and often!  Granted, McDs isn't on the plan, but I don't crave it anymore either!  Somehow the products help cut your cravings for carbs.

So here's the best part, after my first 8 days I lost 4 pounds and 11 inches!!  When I stop and consider that when fasting with my church I lost 8/9 pounds and only 2 inches eating nothing but fruit, vegetables and nuts for protein for 21 DAYS, I would say my health and wellness products from Xyngular are amaXYNG!!

I will continue to do the spiritual fast with my church and I'm really glad that it basically led me to Xyngular!  It's now 5 months later and I continue to use the products.  I lost 2 pant sizes after my first 8 days and was happy with that.  So I ate to maintain my weight and inches.  Towards the middle of June I wanted to see what else I could do with the products so I did another 8 day.

That my friends is for the next post!!
